KOLBUS delivers the 1000th ›Compact line‹
Investment target of 15 million already exceeded

KOLBUS has delivered the 1000th ›Compact‹ book production line. Launched at the beginning of the 70´s, the ›Compact‹ has been an indispensable standard machine line for book manufacturers throughout the world. Initially affectionately referred to as ›the little KOLBUS‹, the machine line is now capable of producing one book per second. We at KOLBUS are delighted to deliver the 1000th machine to Leipzig as it was an important centre for book production for centuries and has recently regained this status. The machine line will be installed at the printing house ›Andersen Nexö‹, the uninterrupted legal successor of one of the oldest printing houses in the world. Stephan Treuleben, the owner, and Jürgen Röhling, the factory manager, personally travelled to Rahden to attend the machine line acceptance. We would also like to announce that KOLBUS has already reached its target of investing € 15 million between January 2006 and the summer vacation of 2007. The original capital spending plan has been increased to € 18 million and will be reached by the original target of summer 2007.
