Automation makes line changeover fast and efficient, improving the bottom line, especially for short production runs and frequent product changes. The central operator panel (touch screen) is located close to the handover point between gathering machine and perfect binder. The operator can also intervene to make fine adjustments via the key strip along the length of the machine. The KM 473 can process hotmelt, PUR or dispersion glues as required. The glue is applied by rolls in a one-shot or two-shot process, or through a nozzle. All systems include a control for intermittent glue application to keep certain areas free of glue.
