KOLBUS America Inc. was founded by Bob and Emil Schuler in 1950 under the name of Schuler Sales & Service.

In 1980, KOLBUS aquired Schuler Sales and Service. In 1996, the company became KOLBUS America Inc., and was located in Mahwah, New Jersey until September 2004.

On October 1, 2004 KOLBUS America Inc. relocated to its new corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. From this central location, sales and service of the KOLBUS, as well as the SIGLOCH, product range are controlled for the entire U.S. territory and Canada.

The president of KOLBUS America Inc. is Robert L. Shafer.
The sales team is composed of 7 members spread throughout the whole of America. Today, KOLBUS America Inc. employs a staff of more than 30.
