The launch of the Compact Line
at this year’s DRUPA is another milestone for KOLBUS. The Compact Line links three machines into one integrated unit 7.65 m long, capable
of producing 25 books/min.

1980
KOLBUS enters an important new market segment with the launch of its own perfect binder, the KM 490 System Binder (6,000 brochures/h). This was followed, in 1984, by the Ratiobinder KM 470; it delivered the same performance, but used a new clamping system.
1982
KOLBUS launches the first three-knife cutter, the HD 150, capable of trimming three sides of a book block at the same time.
